[MLE] Information re the World Congress

Dear MLE friends,
Below an announcement for a probably very good but unfortunately expensive conference.

Some people think that when I forward this type of information, that SIL has responsibilities in all these conferences. That is not necessarily the case I just share information.

Regards,
Karsten

Greetings.

Would you please pass this along to all potentially interested people?  There are two tracks that are of particular interest to us
-  Language and minorities--relates to language development; language revitalization efforts, etc.

-  Language and Education--relates to bilingual and multilingual education.

Important item:  they are charging $400 to attend this conference.  Dr. Suwilai tried to convince them to lower the fees but they did not agree.  So everyone will need to start planning ahead.  They are expecting about 1000 people here and the location is good so I hope SIL and our partner organizations can make a good showing.
