Four-week, MA-level MLE course, Payap University, Chiang Mai, Thailand
Over the last few years Payap University has offered a 4-week MLE certificate course. Several people from India have taken this course. The course set is designed to provide the basic knowledge required to begin working in the fields of Literacy or MultiLingual Education. More information on the most recent course can be found here: http://mle-india.blogspot.com/2011/01/mle-mle-certificate-program-payap.html
The present scheduled course is a bit of an other nature. It has a special focus on the transitioning from L1 to L2 and is in workshop style: "This intensive 2 week workshop will focus primarily on the process for helping learners build a language and learning “bridge” between their mother tongue (L1) and the official language (L2) in strong MTB MLE programs.  By the end of the workshop, participants should have made a good beginning in planning the bridging process and a good plan for developing the teaching and learning materials for their programs.
